Where To Take Your Foodie Obsessed Friend in St. Pete

This summer we hosted my foodie obsessed sister (meet Kim) and her equally food conscious fiancé at The Breeze Bungalow in St. Petersburg, Florida. We knew we had to impress them with every meal - Chick-fil-a we love you but you weren’t going to make the cut.

There are so many great places to eat in St. Pete that it is hard to pick which ones will impress your foodie friend - because they are all so good! However my sister has traveled to the Netherlands just for a dinner reservation so I knew we needed to narrow down and meticulously plan our list so she was impressed.

One thing to note is that all of these restaurants are vegan friendly! Our other sister (meet Katie) is vegan so we always have to make sure there are options for her. So if you are vegan and traveling to St. Petersburg, Florida you are in great hands. There are so many vegan options and purely vegan restaurants around the St. Pete and Tampa area.

Please note that these restaurants only offer some of these services on the weekend.

Breakfast

Sit down breakfast

Wild Child: (Breakfast only on weekends) This colorful spot is open for breakfast and dinners but their breakfast BLEW US AWAY. We had pretty much everything on the menu but here were our favorites. - Tres Leches french toast- Potato Latkes- Breakfast tacos- Impossible burger

We did have a long wait so make sure you are prepared! Grab a coffee before you start waiting ;)

To-go Breakfast / Coffee shop

Bandits: This coffee shop is the perfect environment for a quick bite before a day of activities. We absolutely love the hot chicken sandwich and the breakfast burrito. If you are more of a small bite in the morning person their pastry section is top notch.

lunch

Baba: (Lunch only on weekends) Amazing mediterranean dishes. We devoured all of the spreads on the menu. Perfect mid-sized lunch to save plenty of room for dinner. Baba also has an amazing patio space that made us feel like we were in Bali or somewhere exoitic.

Dinner

Lingr: This is definitely one of the most unique spots in St. Pete. Lingr is a mix of nordic and asian cuisines and does not disappoint. We loved the spicy shrimp dumplings and the 5 spice salmon.

drinks

In-between days: This sake bar is inside a house and definitely gives off speakeasy vibes. They have limited tables so you might have to wait a bit but the drinks are worth it. They can also do mocktails for people who don’t drink alcohol :)

There you have it! A full day of food and drink to satisfy any foodie. However, I would suggest splitting up this list over a two day period so you can really enjoy each meal :)
